The Honda PCX160, a sleek scooter, hits the streets with a base price of Yen 460,000 in Japan. This model offers a single variant and a choice of 5 vibrant colors. The high-end variant kicks off at the same price point. Powering the PCX160 is a robust 156cc BS6 engine, delivering 15.8 PS of power and 15 Nm of torque. Equipped with Disc brakes both at the front and rear, this scooter ensures reliable braking performance. Weighing in at 132 kg, the PCX160 boasts an 8.1 L fuel tank capacity.
As for the pricing update, starting June 26, 2022, the PCX and PCX 160 models will flaunt refreshed colors, priced at 357,500 Yen (about Rs 2.07 lakh) and 407,000 Yen (about Rs 2.36 lakh) respectively.
Under the hood, the PCX features a 124cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, generating 12.5PS and 12Nm of torque. Surprisingly, this makes it slightly more potent by 1.12PS and torqueier by 0.8Nm compared to the TVS Raider, and only 2PS shy when matched against the KTM 125 Duke.
Meanwhile, the PCX 160 houses a 156cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, producing 15.8PS and 15Nm of torque. Compared to the Yamaha Aerox 155, it boasts an extra 0.8PS and 1.1Nm.
Both scooters feature telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers for suspension. Additionally, they are equipped with disc brakes on both wheels, single-channel ABS, and a wheel setup of 14-/13-inch. With an ample 8.1-liter fuel tank, these scooters promise a commendable riding range.
